Wantai microseismic monitoring system passed the final inspection and review in the Paner Mine of Huaihe Energy Oct 15, 2022

Recently, the "Pansidong Coal Mine 11411 Working Face Microseismic Monitoring System Project" of Huaihe Energy Holding Group Coal Industry Company undertaken by Wantai Co., Ltd. was successfully completed and successfully passed the final inspection and review.

The project was evaluated by an expert team composed of the chief engineer of the coal company, the general defense geological technology department and the leaders of Paner Coal Mine.
It took 9 months to construct a microseismic monitoring system in the two troughs of the 11411 face to monitor hydrogeological anomalies such as the development of the fracture weak zone of the top and bottom plates during the mining period of the 11411 face.
The project started in August 2021 and the monitoring ended in May 2022, completing a total of 245 daily reports, 82 semi-daily reports, 40 weekly reports and 10 monthly reports. Through the analysis of monitoring data results, rationalization suggestions are put forward to provide guarantee for safe production in the working face.
A total of 2 6-channel microseismic monitoring substations are deployed, one each for the upper and lower troughs. A total of 11 single-axis microseismic sensors are installed.

· The upper groove is 1#~6#, 6 single-axis microseismic sensors.

· The lower groove is 7#~11#, 5 single-axis sensors.

The spacing of the microseismic sensors is about 100m, and the microseismic sensors are staggered along the direction and depth of the coal mine, and are arranged in the upper trough mining gang and the non-mining gang in the lower trough according to the actual situation underground, forming an envelope on the 11411 working face in space, and completing the monitoring of water inrush of the coal seam floor and the stability monitoring of the surrounding rock during the mining period of the entire 11411 working face.

The micro-fracture signals of coal rock induced during coal seam mining were collected, the microseismic signal waveform analysis was carried out, and the hydrogeological anomalies of the coal seam floor of the 11411 working face were continuously monitored by synthesizing the spatio-temporal characteristics of microseismic events, the b value of microseismic events and CT imaging inversion. During the period, a total of 6462 effective microseismic events, 2452 bottom plates and 4010 top plates were monitored, and the energy was mainly concentrated in the range of 100J~500J.
Monitoring confirmed that the coal seam floor and fault structure of the 11411 working face did not form a water channel.
The microseismic monitoring system is a microseismic monitoring, identification and positioning and CT imaging algorithm independently developed by Anhui Wantai Geophysical Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Wantai Co., Ltd., and the "Wantai Microseismic Laboratory" jointly established by the University of Science and Technology of China. At present, the technology is at the international leading level.


Sensor recognition of vibration information, through data processing software + three-dimensional visualization software, analysis of earthquake position and time information, products can be widely used in impact ground pressure, mine water damage, tunnel detection and other mine safety aspects.


Up to now, the system has successfully predicted the time and location of early warning water inrush and impact ground pressure in many coal mines across the country, and has been widely recognized by major mining areas.
